As you all know, May 30 was supposed to be the last day to donate to our World Vision Gift Catalogue Campaign Mission #1, but we have decided to EXTEND the due date one week later. The new due date is now on June 6, 2008.
We are asking for your help to make this happen. Now, more than ever, is the time to act. Medical aid is crucial to the lives of these poor families, especially the children, and your part is highly important.
6,000 children die every day because of disease-infested drinking water. 15 million children around the world have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS. In developing countries where medicines and health care are scarce, common diseases such as measles, polio, tetanus and tuberculosis kill thousands of children needlessly each day.
With your help, many lives will be saved, and this will make a huge difference. Don't ever think that saving 10 lives is insignificant compared to the daunting facts presented. Every life is valuable, and the smile that your gift would bring to one child is priceless.
Let us put our faith into action and answer God's call to reach out to our less fortunate brethren. Your gift of any amount will go a long way. Please consider our request.

We want to let others know about the harsh facts of poverty and what poverty does to little children and numerous families afflicted with such devastating situations.
On [date you have chosen to do your fasting], together with hundreds or thousands of others who have chosen to participate on their own selected dates, I will fast for 30 straight hours - no solid food, just water or juice. I want to know how hard it is to live with almost nothing to eat. Most of us don't relate that much to the sufferings of these kids, because most of us have plenty of food to eat. But how about making a huge difference? Why not do your own fasting as well? More importantly, why not donate to the cause?
For only $30, you can feed one child for a month. For $360, you can feed one child for one WHOLE year. Any generous amount that would come from your heart will be greatly appreciated! You may be in a different part of the world, but I know we share the same passion. This is not limited to Canadians, everyone is asked to participate and donate to the cause.

Truly, it is good to give back the praises to our awesome God! If you have any testimonies that you want to share with us, please post a NEW TOPIC containing your message.
If you have been on mission trips, you can share your pictures with us so that we can see and marvel at God's work through them. However, if the pictures are too big (i.e. they stretch the board too much), please post them as links instead of actual photos. You may resize them beforehand if you want to post the actual photos here.

I recommend: WHEN GOD WRITES YOUR LOVE STORY
This book taught me a lot about how a godly relationship starts and blossoms. I've enjoyed reading this a lot and I recommend this to everyone, especially those who seek to have a relationship that is blessed by God, by parents, by friends, and by other people. There is no more romantic relationship that is greater than that which is peaceful, in-order, and God-authored.

Hi everyone!
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to those who have supported me through this cause. I'm very pleased to announce that I've survived the 30-Hour Famine! Truly, "man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). It was a very intense experience! I have never felt so blessed to have food on my plate afterwards. I've felt what 30 hours of literally NO FOOD, not even a bowl of plain rice, and just a few glasses of water can do to a human's system. Imagine what extreme hunger can do to kids and babies who actually experience it not only for 30 hours but for years and years of their lives.
If you still want to help, please do donate any generous amount that would come from your heart. For $30, you can feed one child for a month. For $360, you can feed one child for one WHOLE year. Donations will be accepted until the month of June, so feel free to visit the donation page any time before the last day.

Wow, 9 more hours left! And yes, I am hungry and I can't wait to eat.
But truly, it's been an awesome and intense experience to feel the pain and hunger of these kids and their families who not only starve for 30-hours but for a few months or years.
Thanks to all who supported me on this and thank you for all your prayers. I do pray that God will bless you more, and that He will bless the kids to whom I dedicate this cause.
Faith is our spiritual oxygen, it's not only keeping us alive in God but enables us to grow stronger in him..
